Privacy policy
This policy covers somethingelseco.com and the messages we send. "We" means Something Else Co. Spa, 245 Van Brunt St, Brooklyn, NY 11231.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us when you book or ask for a quote: name, mobile number, email.
- Your vehicle and job: year, make, model, the services you pick, notes and any photos you send.
- Payments are handled by Stripe and its payment partners (for example Klarna, Affirm and Afterpay). We see the amount and status of a payment; we never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical data your browser sends to any website, such as IP address, used only to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it
- To answer quote requests, book and run your appointment, and tell you when your car is ready.
- To send confirmations, reminders, receipts, changes, cancellations and refunds.
- To keep records the law requires, such as sales tax records.
We don't sell your information and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the parts of our business you use, and only for that purpose: Stripe (payments), Cal.com and Google (calendars and email), Resend (booking emails) and Twilio (text messages). We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Quote requests you don't go ahead with are deleted from our inbox within 12 months.
Your choices
Ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time: email contact@somethingelseco.com or call . Records we must keep by law are kept until that period ends.
Offers by email
If you tick "Email me offers and news" when you book or ask for a quote, we add your email to our list and send occasional offers and shop news from news.somethingelseco.com. It's optional and never needed to book. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing doesn't affect your booking emails.
SMS terms
Something Else Co. Spa appointment & quote texts. If you tick the text box when you book or ask for a quote, we send texts about that request: quote replies, booking confirmations, reminders, schedule changes and "your car is ready" messages. No marketing texts.
Message frequency varies, usually 1 to 5 messages per quote or visit. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP at any time to stop texts; you'll get one message confirming it. Reply HELP for help, or call or email contact@somethingelseco.com.
Agreeing to texts is never required to book or get a quote.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except the text message provider that delivers our messages.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported on all major US carriers.
